How to Set Minimum Notice
Foodzilla lets you set default booking limits for your entire booking page from the Availability section. These defaults apply automatically unless you choose to override them for a specific booking type.
Set the Default Minimum Notice
- Go to Forms & Bookings
- Open the Bookings tab
- Select Availability
- Scroll to Booking Limits
- Enter your preferred Minimum Notice in hours
- Set the Max Advance Booking in days
For example:
• Minimum Notice: 24 hours means clients must book at least 24 hours before an appointment
• Max Advance Booking: 60 days means clients can only book up to 60 days into the future
These settings become the default rules for your booking page.
Override the Default for a Booking Type
If a particular service needs different rules, you can override the default:
- Go to Booking Types
- Open the booking type
- Go to Limits
- Turn on Minimum Notice or Booking Window
- Enter the custom value
For example, your booking page might use a default minimum notice of 24 hours, while an Initial Consultation could require 48 hours.
If you do not enable a custom setting for that booking type, it will continue using the default from Availability.
Why Use Default Booking Limits?
Default settings make it easier to manage multiple booking types without configuring the same rules repeatedly. You can set your usual booking policy once, then only customise individual services when necessary.
