🤩 5.2 Leftovers and Custom Meal Types
Thank you for using Foodzilla. In this update, we’ve added highly requested features such as leftover planning with automatic serving/ingredient adjustments, custom meal type names, and more.

What's New in Platform v5.2 & App v10.8
- 🍉 Custom Meal Type Names. You can now change the meal type names in your meal plans and templates. For example, in the screenshot above, you can see "Breakfast" was renamed to "Brekky", and "1st Snack" was renamed to "Pre-Lunch". You can access this new feature in the planner details tab and you can change all 6 meal types. This feature is available on the Pro plan and above.
- 😊 Leftover Planning. We've made it much easier to create leftovers from your recipes. You can now copy a recipe as a leftover which will automatically set the recipe serving amount to 1 and adjust the ingredients accordingly. The leftover copy will also be dimmed so you can visually see which ones are leftovers. Your clients will also be able to see the same effect in both the mobile app and in the PDF. Finally, the ingredients of leftover recipes are not counted in the grocery list. This feature is available on the Pro plan and above.
- 👀 Client Recipes. Your clients can now also create recipes via the mobile app (10.8) and use these recipes in their meal plans. This feature is available on the Pro plan and above.
- ✒️ Editable Foodzilla Ingredients. You could always edit your own ingredients and foods, but now you can edit ours too. Change the ingredient name, nutrition details, and measurements as you wish. When you edit a Foodzilla ingredient, it creates a copy in your database, so you can make changes without affecting the original.
- 🎀 Foodzilla Bookings. You can now set up bookings and appointments with the new Foodzilla Booking system! Embed your booking form on your website or share it on your socials. Sync everything with your Google or Outlook calendar. Just head to the new Bookings tab on the left menu. This feature is available on the Pro plan and above.
- 💵 Collect Payments. You can now set up paid bookings/services and collect payment via Stripe. You can collect the payment at the booking time or if your client does not attend the meeting. Our platform fee is 3.9% + 69 cents (plus 0.25% charged by Stripe — our payment processor). This feature is available on the Pro plan and above.
- 🌠 Telehealth Video Consults. Get ready to rock your telehealth game with our video conferencing feature! It's all set up for you when you create your bookings account, and your clients will love it since they can join right from their browser—no downloads or accounts needed. Plus, we don’t cut you off after 40 minutes (cough ZOOM). Joining a meeting opens 30 minutes before start time and expires in 24 hours. This feature is available on the Pro plan and above, currently in Beta and free of charge (but heads up, pricing might change later).
- 🥳 Booking Integrations. Connect all your favorite tools like Google Meet, Calendar, Outlook, Teams, Facetime, Stripe, WhatsApp, Apple Calendar, Google Analytics, and more with our booking system. This feature is available on all our plans.
- 🤑 Friends Program. We've added a new affiliate program that pays you a 20% commission every month for all paying customers you refer as long as they are subscribed. To join, log in to your Foodzilla account, then go to Profile -> "Affiliate Program" -> "Join".
- 🍬 Other UI improvements and fixes are left for you to discover.
