How to Accept Invoice Payments with Stripe in Foodzilla

Foodzilla lets you accept card payments for client invoices through Stripe. When a client pays an invoice online, the money goes directly to your connected Stripe account and the invoice can automatically update to Paid.

This helps you manage invoicing and payments without needing to manually reconcile every transaction.

Connect Your Stripe Account

Before you can accept card payments on invoices, connect Stripe in your invoice settings.

  1. Go to Invoices.
  2. Click Settings.
  3. Scroll to Card Payments.
  4. Connect your Stripe account.
  5. Save your invoice settings.

Once Stripe is connected, clients can use the payment link included with eligible invoices to pay by card.

Create and Send an Invoice

After connecting Stripe:

  1. Go to Invoices and click New Invoice.
  2. Choose an Existing client or Someone else.
  3. Add the invoice line items, amounts, tax, discount, due date, and any payment instructions.
  4. Click Save & Send.

The client will receive the invoice and payment link through the available delivery methods.

What Happens When the Client Pays?

When the client pays through the Stripe payment link:

• The payment is processed through your connected Stripe account.

• The funds go directly to your Stripe account.

• The invoice can automatically update to Paid in Foodzilla.

• You can track the payment status from the invoice timeline.

This removes the need to manually mark the invoice as paid when the payment is completed through Stripe.

A Simple Way for Clients to Pay

Each invoice opens on a branded payment page with no login required.

Clients can also view their invoice history in the Client Portal and mobile app, pay outstanding invoices, and access receipts whenever they need them.

What if the Client Pays Another Way?

If the client pays outside Stripe, such as by bank transfer, you can open the invoice and click Mark as Paid.

You can also add your bank account details or other payment instructions in Invoice Settings so they appear on new invoices.

Yes. Open the invoice and click Copy Payment Link to share the payment link directly with the client.

You can also click Resend to send the invoice again.

Track Invoice Payments

From the Invoices page, you can monitor:

• Outstanding invoices

• Paid invoices

• Void invoices

• Payment status

• Whether the client has viewed the invoice

• Automatic reminders

Using Stripe with Foodzilla helps keep invoicing, payments, and client billing in one place.
