How to Import Clients into Foodzilla Using a CSV File
Moving to Foodzilla from another platform? You can bulk import your client list using a CSV file instead of adding clients one at a time.
Foodzilla provides a ready to use CSV template so you can format your client data correctly before uploading it.
How to Import Clients from CSV
- Go to Clients.
- Click More in the top right.
- Select Import Clients.
- Click Download CSV Template.
- Add your client information to the template.
- Save the file as a CSV.
- Drag and drop the file into the upload area, or click to browse your files.
- Follow the prompts to complete the import.
What Information Can I Import?
The CSV template supports the following client information:
• Name
• Gender
• Year of birth
• Height
• Height unit
• Weight
• Weight unit
• Weight goal
• Goal timeframe in weeks
• Activity level
• Health goal
• Language
Name and Email are required. All other fields are optional.
Metric and Imperial Measurements
Height and weight will use your practitioner measurement preference by default.
If you want to specify a different unit for an individual client, you can set:
• HeightUnit to cm or in
• WeightUnit to kg or lbs
This makes it possible to import clients using either metric or imperial measurements in the same CSV file.
Are Invitation Emails Sent Automatically?
No. Imported clients do not receive an invitation email by default.
This gives you time to review their profiles, prepare meal plans, update goals, or complete any setup before inviting them to Foodzilla.
When you are ready, you can send the client their invitation separately.
Why Use Client CSV Import?
Bulk client import is useful when:
• Moving to Foodzilla from another nutrition or practice management platform
• Onboarding a large number of existing clients
• Setting up a new team account
• Migrating client records from a spreadsheet
• Avoiding the need to create each client manually
Using the official Foodzilla CSV template helps ensure your client data is imported in the correct format.
