How to Accept Booking Payments Without Stripe in Foodzilla

Foodzilla lets you set a price for a booking even if you do not want clients to pay online through Stripe.

This is useful if you prefer to collect payment in person, by bank transfer, through your own billing system, or using another external payment method.

Clients will still see the booking price when scheduling, but they can confirm the appointment without paying online.

How to Set Up a Paid Booking Without Stripe

Go to Forms & Bookings.
Open the Bookings tab.
Select Booking types.
Create a new booking type or edit an existing one.
Scroll to the Payment section.
Turn Payment on.
Enter the booking Price and Currency.
Under How do clients pay?, select In person or external billing.
Save your booking type.

The booking can now display a price without requiring the client to complete an online card payment.

What Does “In Person or External Billing” Mean?

When this option is selected, the client can book without paying through Foodzilla.

You collect the payment separately using your preferred method, such as:

• Bank transfer

• Cash or in person payment

• Your own invoicing or billing system

• Another external payment provider

This gives you the flexibility to charge for appointments while keeping payment collection outside Stripe.

What Does the Client See?

Clients can see the price of the appointment when they book.

They can complete the booking without making an online payment, and the booking confirmation can let them know what they owe and that payment will be settled directly with you.

Stripe Payments vs External Billing

Foodzilla gives you two options for paid bookings:

Online with a card

The client pays through your connected Stripe account when they book.

In person or external billing

The booking is confirmed without online payment, and you collect the money yourself.

You can choose the payment method separately for each booking type.

When Should I Use External Billing?

This option is useful if you:

• Accept bank transfers

• Collect payment at the appointment

• Already use another billing platform

• Invoice clients separately

• Do not want to require card payment during booking

• Need to show a booking price without processing payment online

This makes it possible to use Foodzilla for paid appointment scheduling without requiring Stripe checkout.
