Managing Your Posts: Drafts, Pinning, Archiving and Deleting

Once a post exists you can leave it in drafts, pin it to the top, take it down, or get rid of it. Here is what each one does and which one you want.

Drafts

Save Draft keeps a post to yourself. Nothing is sent, nothing is announced, and no client can see it.

Drafts sit in your Content Hub under the Drafts filter, and the statistics strip at the top tells you how many you have. Come back, finish it, and press Publish when you are ready.

Publishing

Publish puts the post live. Your clients get a push notification and find it at the top of their Content Hub.

Pressing Publish again on a post that is already live does nothing. It will not send a second notification or move the post back to the top, so you can edit a live post without worrying about re-announcing it.

Editing a live post

Open a post and click Edit. You can change the title, the body, the media and the tags at any time, and the changes appear for your clients straight away.

The one thing you cannot change after the fact is how a post is sold, and only once somebody has paid for it. From that point the access type and the price are fixed.

Pinning

Pin a post and it sits at the top of the Content Hub for every client who can see it. Use it for your welcome video, a current challenge, or whatever you want people to open first.

You can pin up to 3 posts at a time. Try to pin a fourth and you are told to unpin one first.

A pinned post drops out of the list while a client has a tag filter on, so pinning does not override what they are looking for.

Archiving

Archive takes a post down without losing it.

It comes off the Content Hub of every client who can see it, and it loses its pin if it had one. Nothing is deleted. Your statistics stay, and you can put it back whenever you want.

Clients who paid for the post keep it. Archiving is not a refund.

Archived posts live under the Archived filter in your hub.

Restoring

Restore puts an archived post back. It returns in the place its original publish date gives it rather than jumping to the top, and no notification goes out, because it is not new.

Deleting

Archive is the only way to take a post down on the web. There is no Delete on the platform, on purpose: archiving does everything deleting does, without the risk.

If you genuinely need a post gone, delete it from the Foodzilla Coach app. Press and hold the post in the list, or open it, and choose Delete. It is permanent, and it takes the video and files with it.

A post that has sold cannot be deleted at all. Deleting it would take back content people bought, so you are asked to archive it instead. Everyone who paid keeps it, and it comes off everybody else's Content Hub.

Which one do I want?

  • Took it down for now, might bring it back: Archive
  • People paid and you want it off the hub: Archive, always
  • Published by mistake, nobody paid, and you want it gone for good: Delete, from the coach app
