Why Does Foodzilla Require a Credit or Debit Card for the Free Trial?

Foodzilla asks for a valid credit or debit card when you sign up for two main reasons: spam prevention and identity verification.

You are not charged at the time of signup. Your selected subscription only begins after your free trial ends, unless you cancel before the trial expires. We also send reminder emails before the trial ends.

You can cancel your subscription at any time from your Subscription page.

Spam Prevention

As a global online platform, Foodzilla receives a large amount of automated traffic, spam, and fraudulent signup attempts.

Requiring valid payment details helps reduce fake accounts and unwanted activity.

Your card information is securely processed and validated by Stripe, our payment provider. Foodzilla does not directly store or process your card details.

Identity Verification

A name and email address alone are not always enough to verify that an account belongs to a real person.

Requiring a valid credit or debit card provides an additional layer of verification and helps us protect the platform from false identities and fraudulent accounts.

Why do we need to verify identities?

  • As a healthcare industry product, we must comply with various laws that require us to take steps to secure our systems and prevent spam and false identity accounts.

Does Foodzilla Store My Card Details?

  • No. Foodzilla does not store your credit or debit card information.

Your payment details are securely handled and stored by Stripe, which also processes subscription payments on our behalf.

Will I Be Charged When I Sign Up?

  • No. You will not be charged when you first sign up for the free trial.

Your registered payment method will only be charged when your trial ends and your selected subscription begins, unless you cancel beforehand.
