Foodzilla gives you several ways to quickly find recipes that match your client’s needs.

Choose a Recipe Library

Start by selecting the recipe library you want to search:

My Recipes

Client Recipes *include recipes your clients have created or favourited in the app

Collections

Team Recipes (available with a team plan).

Dietitian Approved Recipes

Search Options

  1. Search By Keywords:
    • Type your keyword in the search box. This can be an ingredient name, cooking method, or a popular recipe name.
    • For example, to find salmon recipes, type "Salmon" in the search box.

      Example: Searching for salmon recipes:


  1. Search By Filters:
    • Click on the Filters button to open the filter menu.
    • Select a filter by clicking on it; click again to unselect. Selected filters are highlighted.
    • Once done, click on the green Apply button.
    • You can combine multiple filters to refine your search.

      Example: Selecting Paleo from the Health & Allergy Label and Lunch from Meal Type filters :


Available Recipe Filters

Basic Filters

  • Energy per serving: Choose the minimum and maximum energy range.
  • Number of ingredients: Filter recipes by ingredient count, such as up to 6, 10, 14, or 20 ingredients.
  • Meal type: Choose Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner, Snack, or Teatime.

Ingredient Filters

  • Exclude Ingredients: Remove recipes containing specific ingredients. Enter individual ingredients such as mushroom, onion, or coriander rather than broad food groups.
  • Include Ingredients: Show only recipes containing the ingredients you enter. For example, you could search for recipes containing chicken, avocado, and rice.

Dietary Preferences

You can filter recipes using health and allergy labels such as:

Celery-Free Does not contain celery or derivatives
Crustacean-Free Does not contain crustaceans (shrimp, lobster, etc.)
Dairy-Free No dairy; no lactose
Egg-Free No eggs or products containing eggs
Fish-Free No fish or fish derivatives
FODMAP-Free Does not contain FODMAP foods
Gluten-Free No ingredients containing gluten
High-Fiber More than 5g fiber per serving
High-Protein More than 50% of total calories from proteins
Immuno-Supportive Recipes that strengthen the immune system
Keto-Friendly Maximum 7 grams of net carbs per serving
Low-Carb Less than 20% of total calories from carbs
Low-Fat Less than 15% of total calories from fat
Low-Sodium Less than 140mg Na per serving
Pork-Free Does not contain pork or derivatives
Paleo Excludes grains, legumes, dairy, potatoes, refined salt, refined sugar, and processed oils
Peanuts-Free No peanuts or products containing peanuts
Pescatarian Does not contain meat; can include dairy and fish
Red-Meat-Free Does not contain beef, lamb, pork, duck, etc.
Sesame-Free Does not contain sesame seed or derivatives
Soy-Free No soy or products containing soy
Sugar-Conscious Less than 4g of sugar per serving
Tree-Nuts-Free No tree nuts or products containing tree nuts
Vegan No meat, poultry, fish, dairy, eggs, or honey
Vegetarian No meat, poultry, or fish
Wheat-Free No wheat; can contain gluten

Available diet labels include:

  • High Fibre
  • High Protein
  • Low Carb
  • Low Fat
  • Low Sodium

Nutrition Requirements

Use the sliders to filter recipes by nutrition values per serving, including:

  • Protein
  • Carbohydrates
  • Total fat
  • Saturated fat
  • Sugar
  • Cholesterol

Mineral Content

You can filter recipes by minerals per serving, including:

  • Calcium
  • Sodium
  • Iron
  • Potassium
  • Magnesium
  • Zinc
  • Phosphorus

Vitamin Content

You can also filter recipes by vitamins per serving, including:

  • Vitamin A
  • Vitamin B6
  • Vitamin B12
  • Vitamin C
  • Vitamin D
  • Vitamin K
  • Vitamin E

Example

To find a high protein breakfast recipe without dairy:

  1. Select Breakfast under Meal Type
  2. Select High Protein under Diet Labels
  3. Select Dairy Free under Health and Allergy Labels
  4. Adjust the protein range if needed
  5. Click Apply

Foodzilla will only show recipes matching the selected criteria.

Troubleshooting

  • Avoid refreshing the page while searching to prevent loss of search progress.
  • Our search results update almost instantly, helping you find the perfect recipe quickly.
