Can a Client Have Multiple Meal Plans?

Yes, clients can have multiple meal plans. Meal plans are calendar-based, with a specific start and end date, allowing you to assign multiple meal plans to the same client. Let’s explore an example to illustrate this further.

Example: Assigning Multiple Meal Plans

Let's say you have a client who needs to follow a "Dairy-Free" diet for a couple of weeks before switching back to a "Balanced" diet. Here’s how you can manage this:

  1. Create the Dairy-Free Meal Plan:
    • Set the start date and duration for the dairy-free meal plan (e.g., two weeks).
  2. Create the Balanced Meal Plan:
    • Set the start date for the balanced meal plan to begin after the dairy-free plan ends.

By doing this, your client will see the dairy-free plan for the first two weeks. After that period, the balanced plan will automatically be displayed in their mobile app.

TIP: If your client does not use the mobile app, you can export these plans as PDFs and share them via email.

Important Notes

  • Mobile App Syncing:
    • Only the first meal plan is synced to the client's mobile app.
    • If the client creates their own meal plan via the mobile app, their meal plan will be synced instead of the one you created.
  • Sharing Additional Plans:
    • You can still create multiple meal plans for your client and share them via email or as PDFs if they do not use the mobile app.

This approach ensures that clients receive the appropriate meal plans at the right times, providing flexibility and tailored nutrition management.
